New Training Package – What it Means for YOU!

The review of the Early Childhood Education and Care training package is currently underway, and it expected that there will be a 12 month teach out period from when the training package will be released.

At this point in time it is still uncertain how many units will transition across to the new training package, however we will update via this blog as further information comes to light.

Some of the changes in the new Early Childhood Education and Care Training Package:

  • The entry requirements into the Diploma
  • Student must hold a CHC30120 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or a CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care to be able to study CHC50120 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • The Early Childhood Education and Care Training Package will feature an additional 40 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care EG 120 hours in the current training package will be 160 hours and 240 hours will be 280 hours
  • CHC30120 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care will have 17 units and CHC50120 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will have 15 units

We are connecting with educators right around Australia to brief them on the changes and importantly be ready for releasing the new resources for CHC30120 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and CHC50120 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care very soon.”
