JobTrainer Fund
The JobTrainer Fund is a jointly funded initiative of the Australian and state and territory governments that provides free and low-fee training to eligible people in high-demand industries.
JobTrainer aims to engage young people and job-seekers in education and training to boost skills and encourage job opportunities.
KKTC is now delivering the CHC30121 Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care and CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care under this funding in Queensland and NSW.
With childcare educators in high demand, our eligibility for JobTrainer funding does not include age or employment status.
You may be eligible for JobTrainer funding if you:
- are a Queensland or NSW resident, and
- are an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen, and
- have finished school or are no longer at school (including home schooled), and
- are not already enrolled in training (including vet and higher education courses), and
- have not previously completed a qualification funded under the JobTrainer fund.
For QLD students, additional information on the JobTrainer Program can be found by viewing the Queensland Government JobTrainer Student Factsheet.
For NSW, visit https://skills.education.nsw.gov.au/jobtrainer
From 1 October 2021, prospective students can enrol in an aged care, childcare, disability care or digital skills qualification, regardless of age or employment status. The department has identified the eligible qualifications on the JobTrainer Priority List.
